Early birds who arrive by 7:30 AM usually secure a spot, while later arrivals often end up parking along the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail, sometimes up to a mile from the trailhead. This is a one-way loop road, so if you miss an available spot, you'll need to circle around again.</p>

<p>The 1.6-mile trail (3.2 miles round-trip) from the parking area leads to a 25-foot waterfall where you can actually walk behind the cascading water. The trail maintains a moderate grade suitable for most skill levels, though roots and rocks require careful footing, especially after rain.</p>
