Big Daddy's Pizzeria

Big Daddy's has this 550-degree brick oven that actually makes a difference — you can taste it in the crust. We've tried their Mamma Mia pizza (it's basically everything but the kitchen sink) and honestly, it's messy but good. The dough gets made fresh every day, and they don't even have freezers in the place, which is rare around here.

The arcade keeps kids busy while you wait, but fair warning — this place gets slammed during dinner hours. We learned the hard way to either go mid-afternoon or after 8pm if you don't want to stand around for 40 minutes. The moonshine drinks are surprisingly good if you're into that.

One thing that caught us off guard was the pizza sizes. Their 14-inch is the biggest they do, so if you're feeding a crowd, you'll need multiple pies. It's more authentic Italian-style portions than the massive American slices you might expect.

Staff here actually pays attention to dietary stuff — they've gone out of their way when we've brought friends with allergies. The parking lot fills up fast though, especially on weekends when the whole Parkway is a zoo.
