About Harpoon Harry's Crab House - Pigeon Forge

Harpoon Harry's sits in this massive 26,000-square-foot space on Community Center Drive that feels more like a coastal warehouse than your typical Pigeon Forge restaurant. We've eaten here a few times over the years, and the thing that always strikes us is how they actually get their seafood fresh from their Florida operations — not something you can say about most mountain seafood spots.

The king crab boil is what most people come for, but at current prices you're looking at serious money for a pound of Alaskan crab legs. Their lobster mac and cheese hits different though — huge portions with this house-made garlic sauce that's basically crack. The sushi bar only runs Wednesday through Sunday, which catches people off guard, but it's supposedly the best in Sevier County.

You can make reservations through OpenTable, which we always do because even though waits aren't terrible compared to other Pigeon Forge spots, why risk it? The place doubles as an event venue for weddings and parties, so sometimes you'll walk into someone's rehearsal dinner happening upstairs. Free parking though, which is a win.

One thing — the reviews are all over the place. Some people rave about it, others say it's overpriced tourist food. We think it depends on what you order and when you go. Skip the basic stuff and stick to what they do well, which is anything with crab or their cast iron scallops.
