About WonderWorks Pigeon Forge
You literally can't drive past WonderWorks without doing a double-take — it's that massive upside-down house sitting right on the Parkway like a tornado just dropped it there. We've been inside probably six times with different friend groups, and it never gets old watching people's faces when they walk through that inversion tunnel that's supposed to flip you right-side up.
The hurricane simulator is brutal in the best way. They crank it up to 71 mph winds and you're hanging onto the rails for dear life while your hair goes completely sideways. Right next to it there's this earthquake thing that shakes you around like you're actually in a 6.0 quake, which our kids thought was hilarious until they were stumbling around dizzy afterward.
That four-story ropes course though — it's glow-in-the-dark and honestly kind of terrifying when you're up there. My husband made it halfway before noping out, but our 12-year-old flew through the whole thing. Fair warning: if you're scared of heights, skip it entirely.
The laser tag arena gets packed on rainy days when everyone's stuck indoors. We usually hit the bubble lab instead — you can literally step inside a giant soap bubble, and yes, I have about fifty photos of our kids doing exactly that. The 4D theater is decent but nothing special, just your typical motion seats with water sprays.
Plan on three hours minimum if you actually want to try everything. It's pricey — we're talking close to theme park prices for what's essentially a really fancy science museum. But when it's 95 degrees outside or pouring rain, this place is a lifesaver.
