About Wild WaterDome Indoor Waterpark
We've spent countless hours at Wild WaterDome, and honestly, it's become our go-to winter waterpark escape. The see-through roof keeps things sunny and warm at 84°F year-round, so we're literally tanning while the kids splash around in December.
The Ridge Runner water coaster is absolutely worth the wait - it's three stories of pure adrenaline. Our kids are obsessed with the wave pool, and we love floating through the Kaleidoscope Kavern Lazy River with its trippy light show.
Fair warning: weekends get absolutely packed, and finding chairs becomes a contact sport. We've learned to hit the big slides right when they open, then claim our spot early.
The Storm Chaser funnel slide is intense - that 55-foot drop gets everyone screaming. Even our toddler has plenty to do with Washout Mountain and the shallow Flying Squirrel pool.
We appreciate that it's included with our Wilderness resort stay, though the crowds can be overwhelming during peak times.

Ridge Runner Water Coaster
This three-story water coaster is the newest thrill ride and absolutely lives up to the hype. The uphill sections and drops create an amazing roller coaster experience on water that gets everyone screaming with excitement.
Great Wave Pool
At 10,000 square feet, this massive wave pool is the heart of the action. The waves are strong enough to body surf but gentle enough for little kids to splash around safely in the shallow end.

Storm Chaser Funnel Slide
The 55-foot drop in a four-person tube gets everyone's adrenaline pumping. The funnel section where you're weightless for a few seconds is absolutely wild - definitely not for the faint of heart.
Washout Mountain Play Structure
This five-story playground is perfect for kids with water slides, climbing areas, and that giant tipping bucket that dumps hundreds of gallons every few minutes. Even teenagers get soaked trying to stand under it.
Smokies Surf Rider
