TSM Quick Take
Worth it for you?
Legacy Mountain Ziplines is best for families with school-age kids, teens, or active adults who want a guided, safety-focused zipline tour with long, high-altitude lines and sweeping Smoky Mountain views. The 7-line course is the only product, with guides handling all equipment and braking, making it approachable for first-timers and those traveling with kids (ages 4+, 40–270 lbs). Expect a 2–3 hour outdoor adventure with a strong emphasis on scenery and group fun, not a theme park or multi-attraction experience.
The main drawback is the price—starting around $99 per person, it’s a premium, single-activity outing that adds up quickly for families. It’s also not ideal for those with a strong fear of heights, very young children, or anyone seeking an indoor or rainy-day option. Reservations are required, and weather can impact tours, so flexibility is important.

About Legacy Mountain Ziplines
Legacy Mountain Ziplines has seven lines covering 13,000 feet total, with the longest stretching 3,400 feet — basically two-thirds of a mile sailing 500 feet above the valley. We've done this course twice and honestly, that first long line never gets old. You hit speeds up to 50 mph, which sounds terrifying but feels like flying once you're out there.
What makes this different from other zipline places is the dual cable setup — you're clipped to two separate lines instead of one, which their guides love to mention is the only system like this in the area. The whole thing takes about 2.5 hours including the air-conditioned van ride to the summit, which is actually nice because you get to catch your breath between lines and hear some local stories from the guides.
The age limit is 7 and up, but honestly we wouldn't recommend it for younger kids who might freak out mid-line. You need to weigh between 60-275 pounds, and they check this stuff seriously. One thing that caught us off guard our first time — they're only open Wednesday through Sunday now, so don't show up on a Monday expecting to zip.
Book ahead with code 20SPBK26 for 20% off, and definitely do the online waiver beforehand because check-in takes forever otherwise. The address is 2805 Legacy Vista Drive, not the old 800 address that still pops up sometimes on GPS.
Fair warning though — this isn't cheap and weather can shut them down completely with no notice. We've had friends drive all the way from Nashville only to find out the wind was too strong that day.
